Terms

These cover using ioniklabs.app and joining the IONIK waitlist. IONIK has not shipped and is not for sale, so there is nothing here about buying, licensing or installing it — that document arrives when the store does.

What this covers, and what it does not

This page is an agreement between you and IONIK Labs about two things: reading this website, and putting your address on the waitlist. Both are free, and neither involves a payment.

When IONIK goes on sale, a separate licence agreement will cover the software itself — what you may install it on, what happens to your licence, and so on. That agreement will be presented to you before you pay for anything. It will not reach backwards and change what this page said at the time you read it.

What the waitlist is

Joining puts your address in a queue. That is the whole of it. It is not an order, not a reservation, not a pre-order and not a deposit. No money changes hands, no contract to sell you anything is formed, and you are not committed to buying IONIK if and when it ships.

You can leave at any time, and leaving costs you nothing but your place. How to do that, and what we hold while you are on the list, is on the privacy page.

The discount code

The first 300 addresses to join the list are each sent one discount code, by email, on release day. Your place is decided by when you joined and is counted once per person: anything after a + in your address is ignored when we count, so several variations of one address are one place in the queue rather than several.

A code is issued to a single address, works once, and expires 14 days after release. It is a discount against the price of an IONIK licence — it has no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or published, and cannot be combined with another discount. Publishing a code publicly, or using one that was not sent to you, voids it.

If you join after the 300 places have gone, you stay on the list and you still get the release email — there is simply no code with it. Your confirmation email tells you which of the two you are, at the moment you join, so you never have to guess.

If a code fails to arrive or fails to work through a fault of ours, write to us and we will issue you a working one. That is the remedy, and we would rather give it than argue about it.

Prices and dates are intentions, not promises

$149 is the intended list price and $74 the intended price during the launch week. Q1 2027 is the window we are aiming at. None of these is an offer to sell, and nothing on this website creates a binding price until there is a checkout page in front of you showing what you are about to pay.

Software slips, and we would rather say so here than discover it together later. If the price or the window changes, the change applies from the day we publish it. What will not happen is us taking your money and then changing the terms of that particular sale afterwards.

If IONIK is never released, the waitlist ends, we will tell you so in an email rather than by silence, and the list is deleted.

Refunds, when there is something to refund

Once the store opens, refunds are 14 days, by email, with no reason required. It is stated here for the same reason it is stated in the footer: a promise that only appears next to a “buy” button is a promise made too late to affect anyone deciding whether to trust it.

What is on the page

Every figure on this site — the preset count, the number of oscillators, the window size, the list of effects — is read out of IONIK’s source code rather than written by hand, and we keep it that way so the page cannot quietly drift from the software. A few things are deliberately absent because they have not been measured, and we would rather print nothing than a number we cannot stand behind.

If you find something here that is wrong, tell us at support@ioniklabs.app and we will correct it. That is not a formality — a wrong figure on this page is a bug in the same sense that a wrong figure in the plug-in would be.

Using the site fairly

Do not submit an address that is not yours. Do not automate submissions, and do not try to take more than one place in the queue. Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the site.

Submissions are rate-limited, and entries that appear to be automated or to belong to someone who did not ask to be there are removed. If yours is removed by mistake, write to us and we will put it back where it was.

What belongs to whom

The IONIK and IONIK Labs names, and this site’s text, images, screenshots and design, belong to IONIK Labs. You are welcome to link to this site and to quote from it with attribution. Reproducing it wholesale, or presenting it as your own, is not covered by that.

What we can and cannot promise about the site

The website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, and we do not guarantee that it will be either at any given moment.

Nothing here is paid for, so if something goes wrong with the waitlist — a signup that did not save, a confirmation that never arrived, a code that will not work — the remedy is that we fix it or issue you a new one. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from this website or the waitlist. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If these terms change

The date at the top is the last time they changed in a way that mattered. If we change something that affects people already on the list, we will say so in an email rather than by editing this page quietly.

Contact, and the law these fall under

Write to support@ioniklabs.app. A person reads it.

The registered jurisdiction of IONIK Labs is not published yet, so these terms name no governing law. It will be named here before the store opens and before any money changes hands. Until then nothing on this page is a sale, and nothing depends on it.
